Nails!

So as most of you may know, I am terrible at painting my nails, my cat could probably do a better job than I can, and I can't wear nail varnish at work so don't tend to paint them much anyway but I still find myself buying nail varnishes and lusting after all these beautiful colours, so I am trying to paint my nails more and attempting to get better! So today I thought I would share with you some colours I am just loving at the moment, and I may even do a NOTD post at some point!
All of these are from Boots, just as that was the easiest place to use as most people shop there!

Models Own Iced Neon - £4

Models Own in Jade Stone - £4

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in China Flower - £4.49

Fuse Genamel in Polar Bare- £15

Essie Spring Collection in Romper Room - £7.99

Max Factor Glossfinity - £5.99

I didn't quite realise how much I loved pink nail varnish, but there does seem to be a pattern here! I think pink is a very summery colour.
What colours are you loving at the moment?

My Bedroom Wishlist

So, I'm quite bored of my plain bedroom now and there is just furniture everywhere, I have a triple wardrobe, a double one, 11 draws and a double clothes rail, where do all these clothes come from?! This is all as well as my 8 boxes full of make up, my dressing table (also 2 draws full of makeup) and my 'paperwork' cupboard - mainly full of magazines! But there is always room for more stuff, surely?!
So I thought I would share with you a few items I want for my room, I am addicted to homeware and cannot wait to get my own house just so I can make it all super pretty.
I absolutely love Next Home at the moment, but by my house the Next Home is right next to Asda Living, and they are basically identical, they have so much of the same or similar prodcuts in but with a huge price difference. So today, as I am always trying to keep it as cheap as I can and share with you where the best deals are, I'll show you what I am loving from Asda Living!

Love Letter Lights - £10
Butterfly Cushion - £7
Jones Clock - £10
White Clara Vase - £10
Love Frame - £12
White Draw Unit - £12
Pink Notice Board - £10
Happiness Cushion - £7
Heart Candle Holder - £3

Catfish

So like a lot of other people, I am in love with the TV show Catfish. It is brilliant entertainment, emotional - whether it is a happy or sad ending and Nev and Max that present it, yum yum! But for me, it's just a TV show, and I always think of it as just a TV show, but 'Catfishing' is happening all the time in real life.
I personally have never been Catfished, and I can't really understand how you can fall in love with someone that you've never even seen a picture of or spoken to properly, and if after 3 years you still haven't met, surely you would think maybe this isn't going to happen?
I talk to a lot of random people on twitter, and have made good friends with loads of people that I haven't actually met, but I know these people are real, whether it be that we have video chatted or they do youtube video's etc, I know that this person is actual them.
I have friends that have been catfished, and they had lucky escapes really because why would you agree to meet someone you didn't know in a private place, if you must meet this person then meet them in a cafe at lunch time when there will be plenty of people around to help you if you need it, don't put yourself in a difficult situation that could end very badly.
My point is, talk to who you want, just be very careful and make sure they are who they are, never give out personal information to someone you don't know and don't feel forced to meet people in a private place.

Stay safe guys!

Lily Allen

Ever since I first heard the song 'Smile' I have loved Lily Allen, she is what I call more of a 'normal' celebrity, meaning she is more down to earth. She doesn't care if she looks a bit podgey while on holiday with her family and she will happily stick her middle finger up at the camera if she doesn't like you. I really like this in a person, as strange as that sounds, but I prefer people like this than people that are stuck up their own bums!
So I thought today we would take a trip down memory lane at how our Lil has changed over time, if you knew of her when she first came out, you will know what is about to come... the good old prom style dress with trainers mix and those huge gold hoops!

So this is when she was first around, so 2006ish.

Next up is 2010ish time, when she started to change her clothing, but was it really for the best?

And last we are taking a look at her recent comeback, she went and got married and had babies and now she is jumping back into our lives, what do you think of her new look?

Thank you for reading as always, and let me know what your favourite 'Lily Stage' was!

My Hair!

So as most of you probably know, I kill my hair in lots of different ways! I've been dying it properly since I was 15(only the odd highlights before) and dying it as regularly as multiple times a week, I've even bleached it 3 times in the same day! When I was 17 my hair started falling out in chunks from where I had killed it with bleach the year before, I was horrified and never thought it would happen to me, then it did.
And now, I still dye my hair and use heat etc on it a lot, but my hair is in such better condition. I had people coming up to me earlier in the year when it was pink and purple asking me how it looks so good and not all 'strawy' or dead. I keep telling people I'll do a post about it and just haven't got round to it, so here we go, this is how my hair is in such good condition even thought I dye it loads!
I just want to point out that these are things that work for me personally, they might not work for you and aren't like proven or anything, they just work for me!

I don't wash my hair every day, or even every other day. If it doesn't need to be washed, I won't wash it, and this helps my hair so so much as I used to wash it daily. I wash it as soon as it gets greasy or I feel it needs to be washed with is usually either every other day or every third day, but why was it if it doesn't need washing, and if you are having a 'lazy day' why bother? Dry shampoo, you are my god!
I use hair masks, but I don't use them how I am meant to. I smother my hair in it, leaving the roots obviously or else you'll get super greasy hair! Then leave it on over night, or all day, or for however long you possibly can, this will let it soak in and your hair will feel amazing when you take it off. I mostly wash my hair after washing the mask off so my hair doesn't look/feel greasy but is still silky smooth.
Brush your hair! If your hair is anything like mine, it knots constantly. I will brush it, then the next minute it will be all knotted up again. I got a a tangle teezer for Christmas and it is the best thing I have ever used, my hair cannot be brushed with a normal  brush, so if you struggle with knots, get yourself a tangle teezer!
Use leave in conditioner, whether it be a spray or a cream or whatever you prefer - personally I prefer the spray, but this is personal choice. I use it all the time, I put it on straight after a shower while I am drying my hair but if I go to my dressing table in the day I will use a few sprays, again with this product you shouldn't go too close to the roots as it will make your hair greasy, keep it to the ends!

So those are the main things I would suggest trying, as well as the obvious don't use heat or dye your hair, however you don't have to stop doing those things to have healthy hair. Let me know how you keep your hair healthy!

'Special' Sized Clothing

So one advert that seems to be on repeat at the moment is the advert for 'Simple Be' which is a clothing line for plus sized women. Every time I see the advert I keep seeing something I like, the realising they only do sizes 12 - 32, which is too big for me. This clothing company is quite a big well known name, however I think it's slightly unfair that they only do sizes 12 - 32. If a large company started only doing size 4 - 10 for 'skinny people only' there would be a huge craze saying how horrible it was. And I agree that size 0 models are demonstrating an unhealthy body weight and shape for young girls, but being size 32 is just as unhealthy, but there seems to be a problem with people saying that. I don't understand how some companies can only do these sizes without anything being said. Evans, another well known store also only does sizes 14 - 32.
However most other well known stores do a huge mix, New Look does sizes 4 - 32 (including petite and plus size sections) Asos does sizes 4 - 26 and Dorothy Perkins does sizes 6 - 22. Topshop only does sizes 6 - 16 and River Island does sizes 6 - 18 which aren't as varied as the others but still quite a large range.
Obviously there are websites that do only 'Petite' clothing, however these tend to be for 'short' people rather than 'thin' people, the same as there are 'tall' ranger for taller people.
I am really fed up of being told that 'skinny' isn't normal, when a lot of people, both boys an girls are naturally skinny, and young people need to be reminded that it can be just as unhealthy to be over weight as it is to be under weight.
This was just something that kind of annoyed me, and I just wanted to see what all of your feelings on this subject were?

New Lipstick!

So I finally got round to buying a new item of make up, after Dubai my bank account was feeling a bit sensitive so I thought I would leave it alone, but I saw this lipstick and thought I just had to try it.
It is Lip-Toned Colour Rouge En Demi-tons by UNE Natural Beauty in L23. It cost me £3 from Ebay and I just couldn't say no really, and I am so glad I got it. It feels like a lip balm, it makes my lips feel so so soft and nourished, but it's a lipstick! It is a really nice nude colour with really good coverage.

I also wanted to thank all of you that voted for me in the Company Style Blogger Awards, it really means so so much to me how supportive you all are! I will find out at the award show on June 18th and I will obviously will let you all know as soon as I do.
I also have a few more reviews coming up, finally!

Thank you all for reading!

Talk of the evening!

So last night my mom's friends came over for a girls night in, and in amongst all the chatter (and wine, obviously), we started a conversation on 'useless fake people' which is what one of the girls called them however that's probably not the nicest way to put it, maybe 'people that are known for nothing', I don't really think there is nice way to put it!
So this conversation started when we began talking about Kim Kardashian's wedding, some other names that were thrown around were Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and the Geldof girls.
I personally really like some of these people from a fashion perspective, all the Kardashian/Jenner girls always look amazing, same with Nicole Richie! However these girls are all famous because 'daddy is rich' which I don't think is fair, but we still all know their names. Some have done things to make their names knows, a few fashion lines you may know!
But I want to know how do you feel about this whole subject?
I really like these girls and do not mean any disrespect at all.
Thank you Sally, Verity and my mommabear for starting this post (and shouting 'WRITE A BLOG POST ABOUT IT. DO IT, WRITE IT NOW) haha!

5 Months Old!

So my little blog is 5 months old today, and what a crazy 5 months it has been! I can't even begin to explain to you how grateful I am for all the support I have received from all of you, every single one of you that comments or tweets me or anything, you always make me so happy, just knowing you enjoy reading my blog! So I'm not going to go all soppy on you, but I thought we could have a little trip down memory lane and see what has gone on in the past 5 months!

So, I did a few tutorials, Crayola Lipsticks (which I will be doing again soon!) and Facemasks etc!

I bought a very crap camera for my youtube!

I changed my hair a bit - lets just remember pink and purple Bex for a moment!

We reminisced over some old photo's of my hair, this will always be my favourite picture of my childhood, I introduce to you 'Drunk Bex' (I obviously wasn't actually drunk, just pulling a silly face) and my sister looks way too happy with everything, please note the identical outfits...

I bought way too many beauty products.

And clothes/accessories for that matter.

And I went to Dubai for a bit and spend most of the time looking tiny in my maxi dresses!

And then obviously I was shortlised for the Company Style Blogger Awards! The voting closes tomorrow if you didn't know, so if you haven't yet voted, please please head over to http://www.company.co.uk/magazine-hq/company-style-blogger-awards-2014 or click the button in my side bar! I'm xo-bbb in the Best International Blog Newcomer - Category 6, and your vote would mean the world to me! I also did a video on being shortlised and how to vote which is over on my youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGCudZLG7iM

Not much has happened in the past 5 months, but I have met some amazing people in the blogging community, my confidence has got so so much better than it was when I started this blog, and look at me now, I'm even shortlisted for an award. 5 months may not seem like a lot of time but it is enough for crazy things to happen! Thank you everyone that is on this journey with me and believe me, more exciting things are to come!
