Huge Haul

So guys, as you all know, I am trying to save money, and as you also know I am doing terribly at saving money! I keep thinking 'oooh I really need that' or 'oh I could take this to Dubai'! But I thought I could show you some of my new buys, most of it I did 'need' and all of it was a decent price, some on sale and some just cheap! I've started going into really cheap shops like poundland and finding amazing products for (surprisingly) a pound!
So lets get straight into it!

So I found this VO5 'plump it up' volumising spray which is also heat defence in my local poundworld (obviously for a pound), it is retailing at about £3.50 so when I saw it I just HAD to buy it. It smells pretty lovely, nothing special but not horrible. It just gives me that extra boost I love in my hair.

I also found these three items while in 'Pounworld'. As I dye my hair quite a bit I like using products with macadamia oil as they just leave my hair feeling so nourished. Also the packaging was so so lovely I just couldn't say no, seeing as they were only a pound each. As with the last product, they smell pretty plain, quite nice but nothing special, but they make my hair feel so so lovely.

I will always use this spot cream, I have 4 of these at the moment, obsessive I know, but at £9.95 each, whenever they are on offer I feel I have to buy another one because I know I will always use it. It says exactly what it say on the tin (bottle, but y'no) it helps spots within 2 hours! It is clear and really light so I can use it then put make up over it to cover up the spot. This is, and always will be, my go to product for spots. Boots often have £5 off deals on No7, so I picked this up for £4.95.

I have never used a primer before, so I thought I would give it a go and buy this from superdrug for £4, and I  love it! It gives my make up such a smoother look and I would seriously recommend using a primer if you have uneven skin or spots.

While in superdrug I picked this 'Fix Me Up' spray by Collection 2000 for £5.99. I had heard amazing reviews about the Mac finishing spray so I thought I would try this cheaper one out first, and again with the last product, I bloody love it! I am so happy I bought this! I think it was a mix of using both, but I put on my make up at 10am, went to work then went to look after my nephews and at 6pm my sister complimented me on how amazing my make up looked, 8 hours after applying it!

As you probably all know, I am trying to tone up before I jet off to Dubai. I'm not sure if this is working or not as I have only been using it a few days, however it has left my skin so so soft and nourished, and it smells amazing. I've heard loads of bad reviews about the smell of this product however I think it smells wonderful, as most of the Palmers products do. I will update you in a few weeks as to whether or not this product is doing what it says it is. It cost me £4.85 which I don't think is too bad if it actually works!

So while in Canterbury my sunglasses broke (*cries*) so I thought I HAD to buy some new ones for Dubai, the first one is very similar to my old ones, and the second one is a bit different, they are a 'cat eye' style and I just love them! These are both off good old ebay, the fair pair cost me £1.89 and the second pair cost me £3.69.

As I am dying my hair back to brown, it means I can go back to my red lipstick (YAY) and this is my favourite shade of red lipstick ever. My one ran out last year at some point and I never got round to buying another, I just kept trying out different ones but never found one quite as good as this. This is shade 'Love Red' and it is more of a blue red than an orange red, as orange reds just don't suit me, it cost's £9.75 however I had a £3 coupon so I only paid £6.95!

Even though it is getting slightly warmer (it isn't THAT warm in England) I thought this bobble hat was just adorable, especially as I am going back to brunette, it just adds a bit of colour to my head! It was only £1 in the F+F sale so I just had to pick it up!

So, as a lot of you have been asking me, this is the colour I am going! I am thinking of leaving the bottom pink to fade into blonde, aka, dip dye. I wanted a medium brown, nothing too dark and nothing to light. I know it will go lighter when I am on holiday. As my hair is quite long now I need two packs, and they were on 2 for £8 in asda, so even though I am not dying it for a few weeks, they are usually £6.49 each so I just had to take up the offer! I love the Loreal Casting Creme Gloss as I find they are really nourishing (as nourishing as a dye can be) and they leave my hair really soft.

I bought this cute (candle holder I think?) from poundland, I thought it would look really cute with my jewellery on, random I know but I just thought it would work!

I love flowery headbands, however most of mine are now broken, so I thought I would treat myself to a new one for Dubai. This cost me £4.99 from New Look and I just thought it would go with so much because of the plain pink-ish nude colour.

I feel like I do not wear enough rings, so I thought I would but these huge chunky rings from New Look for £7.99, I am trying to wear more jewellery because I feel I really lack in the jewellery department, haha!

The last thing I brought was this adorable peace toe ring from new look for £3.99, I just thought this would be perfect for holiday to add something extra to a plain outfit.

Thank you for reading this super long post, I really need to stop spending!

Earth Hour

Earth Hour is tonight! If you don't know what it is, here is good old Wikipedia to explain it to you! 'Earth Hour is a worldwide movement for the planet organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Earth Hour engages a massive mainstream community on a broad range of environmental issues. It was famously started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Since then it has grown to engage more than 7000 cities and towns worldwide, and the one-hour event continues to remain the key driver of the now larger movement. The event is held worldwide and held towards the end of March annually, encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour as a symbol for their commitment to the planet. Earth Hour 2013 was celebrated on March 23, 2013. Earth Hour 2014 is scheduled for Saturday, March 29, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. during participants' local time.'

Personally, I had never heard of this, but this year it seem everyone is talking about it! I think it has it's pro's and cons, obviously the pro is pretty clear, it saves electricity, proves you do not need it on all the time, shows that people want to make a movement and makes other people aware of it. However I don't think people have really thought of the cons, so me and my mom's boyfriend were talking about it yesterday and he was saying all the electrical (storage thingy's? I cannot remember for the life of me what they are called) basically they will all go crazy due to the fact they are making so much energy but none of it will be used because most people will be using no electricity in that hour, so they will all go crazy then the electricity will go down. And also people need to remember that a lot of people can't take part in this. I am going to try my best but I am actually really really scared of the dark (I know I am 20, I really need to grow up) but people with young children or children who go to bed around 8.30/9pm can't do this with no lighting. My mom was saying 'we can just light candles, it will be cool' well I don't see this as an option due to the fact I have a cat, and I don't see it being very safe sitting in the dark with candles and not knowing where my cat is (I don't want my kitty on fire). I will be out babysitting my two nephews when this is happening, so as I said, I am going to try it but being in a house I don't know too well with two little ones may not happen as well as planned!

But enough about what I think, I want to know what you think! Either leave a comment or tweet me at @bexrenshaw and let me know your views on Earth Hour and if you are doing it or not!

Mothers Day Gift Idea's

So as all of you know, mothers day is only a few days away, and if you forgot or haven't had chance to buy anything yet, I thought I would share a few idea's with you. Obviously no one knows your mom better than you do so get something she would like, not something someone that doesn't even know her thinks she would like!

Firstly, I just love this wine glass. You can either just have 'mum' or her name on it, personally my mom would find this hilarious and love it, however if you mom is sensitive or does actually drink a lot, this may not be the perfect gift. This is from www.notonthehighstreet.com for £22 and they loads of other cool quirky presents.

Next is this super cute book from www.prezzybox.com for £9.95, I thought this was so soute and obviously very personal. You buy the book and fill it out yourself, there are loads of different pages with a huge range of different things on from drawing terrible (and good) hairstyles she had to what you love (and hate) in her wardrobe to what she is good at and what you love about her.

Next is this Willow Tree figure in mother and daughter, I just adore all of the different Willow Tree figures and obviously this is perfect for mothers day! This can be found at www.argos.co.uk and is currently in the sale for £22.49.

I thought this gift set was so cute yet funny, obviously everyone has different scents they like but who doesn't love a good daiquiri! It is the Philosophy Cocktail Party Gift Set from www.johnlewis.com and it is £18, they always have loads of other adorable gift sets.

Every mom loves chocolate so when I saw this 400g Cadbury's Milk Tray from Asda for just £3 I just had to put it in here. I always buy my mom some sort of chocolate for mothers day, so I thought this was a right steal!

A photo frame is always a lovely gift, filled with happy memories. So I (not so recently) moved house and we are still in the proccess of putting thing on the wall so this was just perfect for my mom! It was £21.99 from www.iwantoneofthose.com and although slightly expensive for a photo frame, I just loved it, they have a lot of much cheaper items on their website.

So thank you for reading and I hope it helped, let me know what you are getting your mom for mothers day!

Travelling

So I had a very lucky childhood and got the chance to visit a lot of places in the world, however there are still quite a few places I want to visit.

Some of the places I've visited :

Australia -  Sydney and Perth
Europe - United Kingdom (obviously, it is where I live), Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Bulgaria, Holland.
Asia - Dubai, Thailand, Singapore,
North America - New York, Ohio, Florida.
Africa - Kenya
Canada - Toronto and Niagara Falls.
Caribbean - St Lucia, St Kitts, Jamaica, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Curacao.

I visited a lot of places when I was quite a bit younger, but for now, this is all I can remember!

I've never visited South America or Antarctica.

Some of the places that are on my 'to visit' list :

Figi, Munich (Germany), Switzerland, Japan, Brazil, Ecuador, New Zealand, Iceland, Croatia, Hawaii, Madagascar and Norway.
These places are all pretty different but all so so beautiful, I personally prefer hot places with beaches but I also love exploring towns and the super pretty snow!

Below I will leave a few holiday snaps for you to have a laugh at, some are so terrible!

Let me know where you have been, or where you would like to go!

Simple Hair Styles

So for the past few weeks I have worn my hair in a basically every day, it is finally a length I have wanted for ages and now I just cannot be bothered with it! But I am trying to do more with it without wearing it down and going crazy. My hair has a mind of it's own and gets so knotted within minutes of being perfectly brushed it will be in a bird-nest!
So I thought I would share with you a few styles I am loving at the moment, and each only take a minute or two.

Firstly, obviously, the messy bun. This one has a small plait in it which I love, just adding something slightly different.

Secondly, the high pony. This is perfect if like me, you have naturally straight hair.

Thirdly, is the side plait. I love doing this when my hair is just not doing what I want but I don't want it completely up. It is also great for when my hair is frizzy, just adding a tiny bit of leave in conditioner to smooth out the ends.

Fourthly, I'm not even sure what it is called (if you know, let me know!) it is like a knotted up do! It's so quick and easy to do and looks so lovely.

Lastly, is the half up-half down pony, it is my favourite at the moment. It's so much easier having my hair out of my face but still showing off the length.

So these are my 5 favourite hair styles at the moment, what are yours?
